Reddit Brand Mentions, One-Month Test Campaign
Where AI InSpo stands today
Before talking about what the test will do, here is the honest baseline. All numbers below are pulled from Ahrefs (Site Explorer, Brand Radar, Keywords Explorer) for ai-inspo.com on April 29, 2026.

The AI citations number is the one that matters most for an AI video generator. Right now, ai-inspo.com has zero indexed pages in Google AI Overview, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Copilot. Across all five major AI engines.
That is not a typo and it is not an unusual problem. Almost every AI-native company we audit starts here. The frustrating part is that AI search is exactly where buyers are looking for tools like AI InSpo. Someone types “best AI video generator” or “Sora alternatives” into Perplexity, and the answer references the same handful of brands every time. AI InSpo is not yet one of them.
Quantifying the gap
Pulling Brand Radar data for the AI video generator category in Google AI Overviews shows what AI InSpo’s competitors are getting that AI InSpo is not:

Runway gets cited in 48 AI Overview responses. Kling, 38. Sora, 33. Synthesia, 28. Pika, 21. AI InSpo gets cited in 0. That is the gap, expressed in the only currency that matters here: presence in the answer engines that buyers are actually using.
The keyword market is real and large
The category AI InSpo competes in has serious commercial demand:

Source: Ahrefs Keywords Explorer, US, April 2026. “AI video generator” alone is 217K monthly searches with $80 CPC and 225K traffic potential.
The existing backlink profile is mostly noise
One more diagnostic finding worth surfacing.
AI InSpo’s 42 referring domains look like a respectable starting position on paper. A closer look tells a different story.
Of the top 25 referring domains by Domain Rating, 22 are flagged as spam by Ahrefs. The list is dominated by recently-spun throwaway domains: “fiverr-cost-effective-seo,” “rank-your.site,” “primeseo.xyz,” and similar.
Almost none of the existing backlinks are from real publications. Almost all are nofollow. They pass no SEO authority.
This rules out the obvious alternative path. AI InSpo’s instinct might be to invest in “more backlinks” from a cheaper provider. The existing profile suggests that exact path is what produced the current zero. More of it will not change the outcome.
Jolly’s approach is fundamentally different. We never buy backlinks. We earn them.
When AI InSpo eventually wants to invest in legitimate referring domains, our editorial outreach motion produces real placements on real publications, not directory dumps.
For this test specifically, the focus is Reddit. Reddit is the fastest path to AI citations, and AI citations are the metric that matters most for an AI-native company in 2026.
Why we are running a test before committing to ongoing
During discovery, we identified two viable paths to building that Reddit footprint. Both are legitimate. They produce different signals, and the right one for AI InSpo specifically cannot be predicted without test data.
This test is designed to produce that answer in 30 days, at an investment level appropriate for a diagnostic and with a structure clear enough to learn from.
The campaign
25 Reddit Brand Mentions, no active engagement
10 Reddit Brand Mentions, with active engagement
- Replies
- Follow-up comments
- Upvote support
- Live monitoring of the thread
What “with engagement” actually means
The Quality Track is more than a comment dropped in a thread. For each of the 10 placements, our team:
- Places the initial brand mention in a relevant, high-traffic subreddit
- Returns 2 to 4 follow-up replies on the parent thread to keep the discussion live
- Adds supporting comments from other established accounts to build conversation depth
- Provides upvote support to sustain visibility on the subreddit feed
- Monitors the thread for the first 72 hours, ready to respond to objections, questions, or requests for more info
- Coordinates with you if a thread takes off and warrants a deeper push
The output is a thread that looks and behaves like an organic discussion. That is the point. Reddit threads with active discussion get cited by AI models more reliably than one-shot comments, and they build a deeper second-order footprint, since each reply becomes its own indexable artifact.
Placement approach and posting pace
Our team distributes mentions across 8 to 15 subreddits matched to AI InSpo’s audience. For an AI video generation tool that wraps Sora and Kling, that means subreddits like r/StableDiffusion, r/aivideo, r/SoraAI, r/runwayml, r/PromptDesign, r/ArtificialIntelligence, r/SaaS, r/Entrepreneur, r/ChatGPT, and others depending on which threads are live during the campaign window.
Posting pace is steady, not bursty. Roughly 1 to 2 mentions per day for the Volume Track, and 1 mention every 3 days for the Quality Track. This pacing keeps mentions from looking coordinated, and it gives Quality Track threads time to develop discussion before the next one goes live.
Replacement policy
If a mention placed during the campaign is removed, hidden, or no longer publicly visible within 14 days of its placement date, we replace it 1:1 at no cost. After 14 days, the mention has already done its indexing and AI-citation work, so removals are tracked in your final report but not replaced.
In practice, removal rates run under 5% across our campaigns. We use established accounts and community-appropriate language specifically to keep that number low.
What we will measure during the test
Four metrics, captured before the campaign starts and again at the end of 30 days. This is the diagnostic. The test pays for itself if it tells you whether to scale Volume, scale Quality, or run a blend in your ongoing campaign.
AI Citation Rate
Perplexity, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overview results for “AI video generator,” “Sora alternatives,” and 3 other queries we agree on at kickoff. Baseline today is 0 across all engines.
Branded Reddit Reach
Total impressions and engaged users across all placed mentions, broken out by track.
Branded Search Volume
Monthly search volume for “AI InSpo” and variants, pulled from Google Trends and Ahrefs.
Referral Traffic
Direct Reddit referrals to ai-inspo.com via your analytics for the campaign window. Baseline today is 0 organic traffic of any kind.
Why we expect this to work
Two pieces of evidence. The first is what AI engines are actually citing in this category right now.

Source: Ahrefs Brand Radar, cited domains, Google AI Overviews, AI video generator market, April 2026.
Reddit is the fourth most-cited domain in Google AI Overview answers for AI video generator queries. Twenty-eight responses cite Reddit, drawing from seventeen unique Reddit pages. Reddit ranks above Adobe (26), HeyGen (15), Synthesia (8), and OpenAI’s own domain (5). The only domains beating Reddit are YouTube (the platform itself), Canva, and InVideo, all category leaders that have been seeded into AI training data through years of editorial coverage.
This is the empirical case for Reddit Brand Mentions in AI InSpo’s specific category. It is not a hypothesis. The AI engines have already decided Reddit threads are a credible source for “what AI video generator should I use.” The remaining work is making sure AI InSpo’s name appears in those threads.
The second piece of evidence is two recent Jolly campaign references that are directly relevant.
Ninja Transfers
Ran 56 Reddit Brand Mentions across 2 campaigns. Their Gemini AI citation rate moved from 17% to 60% in 60 days. Same fundamental motion as your Volume Track.
PeterMD
Ran a mix of Reddit mentions and editorial backlinks. ChatGPT citations grew 76.9% (13 to 23), Perplexity grew 8.7%, combined AI citation rate up 33.3%. Their thread engagement was closer to your Quality Track structure.
We are not promising AI InSpo these exact numbers. AI InSpo’s category is more crowded, the starting position is meaningfully behind both of those references (zero AI citations, DR 2.4), and the test budget is smaller than either campaign. What we are committing to is the same operating discipline that produced those results, applied to this test, plus a clean baseline-versus-result measurement framework so the next investment decision is grounded in data.
Reporting deliverables at end of campaign
You receive a single end-of-campaign report covering:
- Full inventory of placed mentions (URL, subreddit, placement date, account, current status)
- Subreddit-level performance breakdown showing which subreddits drove the strongest threads
- AI citation snapshot, before versus after, across all 5 AI engines and 5 target queries
- Reddit reach and engagement metrics: upvotes, replies, thread visibility, and time-on-feed
- Referral traffic delta from your analytics during the campaign window
- Quality Track thread analysis showing which threads developed real discussion versus which fizzled, with hypotheses on why
- A clear recommendation for the ongoing campaign: scale Volume, scale Quality, or blend, and at what monthly investment
The report is the answer to the question your test is asking. It is the artifact you bring back to your CFO.
After the test, what ongoing looks like
If the test produces signal worth scaling, and our base case is that it will, the natural next step is an ongoing campaign sized to whichever track moved the needle.
Quarterly commitment discount. Clients who roll directly from this test into a quarterly (3 month) ongoing campaign receive a discount off the published monthly rate. We will send the exact number with the end-of-test report so it is calibrated to the track AI InSpo actually selects.
Onboarding from test to ongoing is a single signature. No re-onboarding, no re-strategy, the same team carries the work forward.
Why us, versus a cheaper Reddit freelancer
A 1-person Reddit operator can do this work, until they cannot. Operators get sick, take vacation, lose accounts to bans, or get a bigger client and deprioritize the smaller engagements. The campaign experience is one that lurches from active to silent without warning.
Jolly is a 30-plus person production team plus a dedicated Head of Client Success. The team does not run out of bandwidth, and the campaign does not lose institutional memory because one person stepped away. For a test that has to deliver in 30 days, that operational depth is what makes the timeline credible.
Next steps
Onboarding takes 2 business days from signed terms and payment received. Placements go live in the first week of the campaign window.
All deliverables, measurement targets, replacement policy, and reporting cadence outlined in this proposal are written into the engagement terms when AI InSpo signs.
